Prof G Gurubharathy
Principal
Prof G Gurubharathy is the Principal of MSCIMHR. He has more than 30 years of experience in teaching Social Work. He is one of the leading Mental Health trainers and also is a consultant for various community linked Mental Health projects.
His core expertise is in counselling, developing and strengthening Psycho Social Support system and Behavioural training.
Dr Kannan M
Director of Research
Dr Kannan M is a very passionate Researcher who has his MPhil ( Social Work) from TISS, Mumbai and PhD ( Social Work) from Madurai Kamaraj University . He is providing Research Guidance for MSW, MPhil and PhD Scholars and approximately over 500 students have benefitted from his guidance. He has presented more than 180 Research Papers at various International, National and local conferences.
He is also serving as an Honorary Research Consultant for more than 25 NGO’s.
Dr Janet Vasantha Kumari
Director of Counselling
Dr Janet Vasanthakumari has done her PhD in Social Work from Madurai Kamaraj University. She has three decades of teaching experience in the field of Psychiatric Social Work.
She has published and have co-chaired in various National and International conferences. She was an academic council member at Senate of Serampore, Kolkata (2016).
She has Facilitated various Training programs for Government and Non-Governmental Organisations. Her field of interest is in Training and Counselling.
Dr Veerabalaji Kumar
Senior Faculty Member
Dr Veerabalaji is a homeopathic Doctor with a PhD in Psychology from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore. He has more than 10 years of Clinical experience and more than 15 years of training and teaching.
He developed modules on Stress Management, Emotional intelligence, Life skills, and team building.
His Specialisation is in Counselling theory and techniques for individuals and groups. He was a State General Secretary of Tamilnadu Homeopaths Association 2003- 06 and Member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr R Selvi Kumari
Faculty Member and Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr R Selvi has her MPhil ( Clinical Psychology) and PhD from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
She has 7 years of clinical practice along with teaching experience. There are several Research Scholars under her guidance. Her field expertise is Clinical Psychopathology, Counselling, Psychotherapy (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-CBT, Family and Marital Therapy, Therapeutic Interventions for Children and Adolescents), Psychological Assessments, School Mental Health Positive Mental Health & Well-being.
Dr M Selvi
Faculty Member and Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr. R Selvi did her MPhil ( Clinical Psychology) from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and PhD ( Clinical Psychology )from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
She was awarded Best Psychotherapist in the Year 2008-09.
Her field experience is over 7 years along with teaching and training, where she worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Clinical Psychology in NIMHANS.
She was part of various projects and Research works, one of her known works is as Co-principal Investigator for the Project “National Mental Health Survey” under Government of Indian Projects.

Dr Anthea Washington holds a PhD in Social Work from Madurai Kamaraj University and has specialized in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations in her post-graduation. She holds an MBA in Education Management from Alagappa University. She has over 25 years of experience in higher educational institutions in the field of HR and professional development.
Dr M Suresh Kumar

Dr Suresh Kumar is a passionate and trainer, teacher, and researcher who has a PhD in Psychology from Annamalai University. He has more than 12 years of experience in teaching and training.
He is an accomplished academician who has authored 3 books and published 27 research journals in the various domains of Psychology.
He was a resource person for over 100 webinars, 40 Training Programmers, 25 e-workshops, and 10 e-programs.
His areas of interests are Mental health, Positive Psychology, Counselling, Educational Psychology and CyberPsychology
Ms Saadhvi Nirmal
Faculty Member
Ms Saadhvi Nirmal has completed her MPhil in Psychology from the University of Madras, Chennai. She has constructed a tool on “Career Plateauing for employees in India”.
She has done intensive research on the “Influence of Career Plateau on the Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention and Psychological wellbeing of employees” Her field expertise is in Organisational Behaviour and Personality development.

Mrs Easha Kayal has her Post Graduate Degree in Counselling Psychology and PGD Counselling. She has more than 5 years of experience in the field of Psychology.
Her field expertise is in Counselling and Child Psychology.
Ms. Kaviya Ramesh

Ms Kaviya Ramesh has completed her Post Graduation in Counselling Psychology at Madras School of Social Work. She is enthusiastic about working with the youth and has conducted several training sessions for children. Her passion lies in teaching and counseling the younger generation.

Assistant Professor
Mrs A Prasanthi has completed her M.Sc. in Applied Psychology from Women’s Christian College, Chennai and M.Phil in Guidance and Counselling from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. She has conducted career guidance sessions to school students. She is more interested in working with adolescents.
